The history of the American Italian Cultural Center & Museum is as rich as the history of our Italian forefathers. We seek to cultivate a strong bond with our community and bring a little bit of Italy to daily life here in New Orleans.

DUAL CITIZENSHIP

Now open to the public!

If you descend from an Italian citizen, or if you have an ancestor born in Italy, you may be eligible for Italian citizenship! Obtaining Italian citizenship would allow you – while maintaining your American citizenship – to reconnect to your cultural background, to obtain an Italian passport for you and your family, and to live, work, retire and freely travel in Italy as well as in any other country in the European Union.

Since every person’s situation is unique and the process can be complicated, we will guide you stepby-step to prepare a successful application that will allow you to obtain Italian dual citizenship. The American Italian Cultural Center can assist in obtaining and translating the required documents and handle your application from start to finish at an affordable rate.
